Spot Windsurfing El Naaba

Directly in front of the center you will find the surfers spot, easily visible with the turquoise standing area. Whether it’s a water start or a jibe, after a wet landing you’re often glad to be able to rest for a minute and have sandy ground under your feet. So it is possible to re-adjust your gear and the learning success is close at hand. The wind is coming 80% side shore to cross onshore from left.

The surfers bay in front of the center is framed towards windward with a wooden jetty, which makes the wind a bit more moderate and flattens the water on the inside of the bay. With wind speeds of up to 5 BFT, it is perfect for windsurfing for beginners and intermediates.

The potato shaped reef and the jetty are calming the water conditions on the inside a bit. Good windsurfers will quickly go for the following open sea with the dune waves, which are building up towards the outside. These dune waves do not break and therefore provide a pleasant entry into wave surfing. In moderate conditions up to 5 BFT, the wave height is 1-2 meters, but can reach 3 meters in strong winds.

Here you have a good overview of the swimming bay, the boat jetty and then our Surfers Bay. In perspective, Surfer Bay looks smaller here than in reality. In the first picture you can very well recognize the width of the bay, about 250 – 300 m.
