Wing Learnival with NEILPRYDE
The Wing Learnival Camp with Neil Pryde Pro Coach Vinny Vinnicius was once again a complete success. The week was full of good wind days and provided us with numerous wing sessions for 4 and 5 wings.
After a relaxed “get to know each other”, the participants were able to ride their first turns in front of the center and get to know the spot.
In the evening on the restaurant terrace, there was a very welcome refreshment and the one or other winger experience was exchanged in a relaxed atmosphere. Coach Vinnicius simply has a wealth of experience to share.
The next day, the wind became stronger and stronger and the lagoon was chosen as the training area. Absolutely smooth water made for laboratory conditions here. Vinni was able to give each participant prompt feedback in a manageable area. This was perfect for the wing students to improve and implement the new tips in wing technique.
We had pitched our base camp tent 50 meters from the spot. Sun protection is always important in between, but above all, plenty of fluids.
Exhausted and with shining eyes, we returned to the ProCenter in the afternoon after several extensive sessions. Here we were able to discuss the various modes of action of the foil wings on the basis of the large selection of foil sets. Development is very fast in this area and Vinni has extensive detailed knowledge thanks to his involvement in the Pryde development team. It is always very helpful to know why the wings have what effect in the water.
The following days were extended with jump technique training behind the motorboat and video coaching.
And on the last two days we were blessed with great wind conditions, so that the participants had plenty of time on the water and were able to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
